Terms of use
The payment test is a self-check, not a guarantee. Please read this before relying on it.

What this service is
traveling-to-china.com provides a traveler self-check: you make a small real payment against a QR code and observe the result. We provide the codes and explain what the outcomes mean. We are not a payment processor, a financial institution, or a certification body.
A successful result confirms that your account and card could complete that specific QR payment flow on that day. It does not guarantee any future payment, any other merchant, any other QR type, or continued approval by your bank. It is a strong signal, not a guarantee.
Not affiliated
We are an independent resource and are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or supported by Alipay, WeChat Pay, Ant Group, Tencent, UnionPay, or any government or immigration authority. “Alipay” and “WeChat Pay” are trademarks of their respective owners and are used here only to identify the services being discussed.
The compatibility database
Results are submitted voluntarily by visitors and are not verified by us. They reflect one person's experience on one day. We publish percentages only where a combination has at least five reports, and we may withhold or remove data that appears unreliable.
Your responsibilities
- Use only a card you are authorised to use.
- Do not use this service to test stolen, cloned, or unauthorised cards. We cooperate with payment platforms and law enforcement on fraud.
- Do not automate, scrape, or bulk-query the QR codes or the database.
- Confirm current rules, fees, and limits in the app or with the official provider before relying on them.
Visa and entry information
Entry rules change frequently and several current arrangements expire on 31 December 2026. Our visa pages describe the position as published by the relevant authority on the date shown. They are not immigration advice. Confirm with the embassy or consulate that covers you before booking travel.
Affiliate disclosure
Some outbound links are affiliate links and may earn us a commission. See our editorial policy for how this affects — and does not affect — what we recommend.
Limitation of liability
The service is provided “as is” without warranty of any kind. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any loss arising from use of this site, including failed payments, missed travel, refused entry, or decisions made in reliance on information published here.
Changes
We may update these terms. Continued use of the site after a change means you accept the updated terms.
